THE FOURTH DEGREE
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
The Patriotic Degree

The Fourth Degree was established on February 22, 1900, on the principle of patriotism. The Fourth Degree focuses the majority of their activities on this principle- love for and devotion to one's country.

As Sir Knights, we have achieved the highest ranking within our Order and as Sir Knights we are the visible part of the Order. In the public's view, when they see us in parades, they see "The Knights of Columbus". When we attend wakes and funerals of our deceased brothers, they see "The Knights of Columbus". In many parishes in which we serve, they see "the Knights of Columbus".

Yes, we are the patriotic arm of the Knights of Columbus and we are truly the visible part of our Order.
